We were on the list of 10 finalists of the “Social Entrepreneurship Competition in Tourism” contest, which is oriented to social innovation and entrepreneurship in tourism.

2023: WINNERS!!

Winners of the second edition of the Awake Tourism Challenge, a contest organized by the World Tourism Organization – UNWTO; which rewards startups that have an innovative approach and that include the Sustainable Development Goals – SDGs in their business model.

About SmArt For Sustainability – S4S

SmArt for Sustainability is the startup of SmArt Tourism and Hospitality Consulting, an innovation project in tourism aimed at reducing the gap of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

This project was one of the 10 finalists of the Social Entrepreneurship Competition in Tourism, which is oriented towards social innovation and entrepreneurship in tourism; and is promoted by the TUI Care Foundation with the support of the Eberswalde University for Sustainable Development, ITB Berlin, Social Innovation Academy, Travel Massive, UNWTO and Teejit. About 200 initiatives around the world were part of the contest.

SmArt for Sustainability is an initiative created to contribute to the development of tourism in indigenous communities worldwide using digital art. It consists of the creation of Sustainable NFT and NFT Travel, developed by artists from the same communities with the support of NFT influencers, which will allow raising funds to carry out projects that improve the quality of life of the community, the protection of ecosystems and their cultural and natural heritage.

Pilot project

We have an agreement signed with the association “La tierra de Yachaqs”, whose community base is located in Cusco, Peru; and is made up of 8 Quechua communities, 80 families; that are dedicated agriculture and to community based tourism and MICE, with the aim of keeping their culture alive by offering a quality service to tourists.
